Can you believe it? I can't. She got up at 6 this morning to get ready......it wasn't even all the way light out yet. That has to be rough after a summer of sleeping in until 10, or noon on some days. She chose her outfit carefully last night, skinny jeans, plaid Converse, layered t-shirt, and a hoodie with fluorescent colors on the inside. What year is this anyway? What's old is new again, this is all stuff I would have liked 20 years ago. When we were school shopping a couple of weeks ago, I spotted leg warmers. LEG WARMERS. In hot pink, fluorescent green, purple.......and skinny jeans with STIRRUPS (!) on the bottom. I guess it makes sense. All the people my age are now in charge of fashion design with the big brands for mass consumption such as those at Kohl's, Macy's etc. I guess I'm glad they didn't decide to bring back ratty old flannel shirts and pants that are 8 sizes too big.
But enough about clothes. I've compiled a series of photos for your viewing pleasure.....please enjoy. Oh yeah, and I know one year doesn't have a piece of paper (3rd grade), and one year is totally missing (5th grade). I skipped the chapter on Being Perfect in my parenting book. Doh! But I shattered my ankle like a week after the 5th grade pic should have been taken-----coincidence? Maybe.
